About the TWILL-BIPV project

TWILL-BIPV – a research project within the imec.ICON program – brings together expertise of two imec research groups and four industrial partners with the objective of improving PV modules in terms of aesthetics and electrical output over its lifetime. The goal is to develop an aesthetic and high performance woven multi-wire interconnection technology.
Arkema is a major player in the specialty chemicals industry, IPTE Factory Automation is a worldwide supplier of automation solutions for the electronical and mechanical manufacturing industry, Soltech is a local manufacturer of photovoltaic modules in dedicated markets with customized products and VdS Weaving is a family owned textile company specialized in innovative and high-tech textiles.
The TWILL-BIPV project was cofinanced by imec.ICON and received project support from Flanders’ Agency for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
